sounding is designed, not built. Its design book holds the design whole.
Design
sounding’s design lives in agentplot/blueprints, with the designs of every tool around it. This site shows the design; the design book and the statement define it.
What each document is
Section titled “What each document is”- The capture design,
design/capture/design.md, covers every part that turns an outside event into landed work: headwater, eddy, millpond, sounding, sluice, crew, Flywheel and the first fleet that runs them. Its section “Questions: sounding” is sounding’s.plan.mdbeside it orders the work, and its decision 11 settles what sounding is. - sounding’s statement,
design/sounding/requirements.md, is written from that design: the question and its sources, the place, the three exits, the stop check, the timebox, rounds, the operator’s decision, and what sounding never does. A fresh model reconstructs sounding from the statement alone, and the questions it asks are ruled and folded back in before the statement lands. It comes next, as plan step Q1. - The design book explains the design chapter by chapter, with the statement as its appendix.
What binds the code
Section titled “What binds the code”The statement binds. This repository cites its clauses by number and
never restates them. The rules a change here keeps, and the decisions
behind them, follow the statement into docs/architecture/ and
docs/adr/. The founding decisions are three: one question, one
session, one conclusion; plugins outside the core; and a conclusion is
never a signal.
The capture contract belongs to Flywheel’s statement, and flywheel-next’s capture crate implements it. An offer prints its lines with that crate, so a question about an offer’s lines goes to Flywheel’s statement first.
